Double Ox Audax is designed for moderate climbing and audax riding in the heart of DCRand territory.  Starting outside Frederick, MD it passes through New Oxford, PA on the way to a natural lunch stop in East Berlin, PA.  The route then returns to New Oxford en route to Gettysburg Battlefield and a final stop in Thurmont.

This event is a UAF Audax brevet, subject to some unique rules.  The critical rules are a common riding pace of 22.5 kph (14mph), scheduled controls of set duration, and sit-down meals.  Riding willfully outside the peloton is forbidden, the peloton is led by route captains, and the outside time is 14h for 200K.  The finish time for this event, however, is about 11 hours.
